Mongoose
As you may know, I have posted here about some troubles I have had with an order from Mongoose. I think it is only fair, then, to post when Mongoose comes through like a champ as well.

I have been on a business trip for two weeks and just returned today. I had a set of missing engines for a Federation Battle Frigate in my Federation Fleet box that Matthew said he would send out just before I left. When I arrived today, there was an envelope ALL THE WAY FROM ENGLAND to here in the US with not only what was missing, but another other item for my trouble. Taking the initiative to send that all the way from across the pond rather than wait for the Ohio warehouse (which seems to be the hold up usually) was really stellar service.

I can only say that such above and beyond service is not common, and I appreciate what was done. Thanks to Matthew and Mongoose for not only a fun game, but for being willing to make things right when it really counts.

I have to second this.

There were some rough patches at the (very) beginning but they have been worked out and every problem I have had has been resolved to my satisfaction. Looking forward to being a future customer.

I had a old style cruiser with one engine nacelle missing and a smaller one subtituted from a frigate I think.

anyways I emailed Mathew and a week later I received 2 full cruisers to replace my single missing nacelle. very cool.

by then I had already used the truncated nacelle to create a damaged cruiser which turned out pretty well. (i cut the nacelle in two incerted it into a juicebox straw into whhc I cut a notch and some thread and dental floss to simulate wiring and conduits. poke in a couple of flash trimings and one damaged cruiser coming up.)

anyways Mongoose was very good (and fast) with the replacement pieces.

thanks.

I'd like to also chime in, but for slightly different reasons.
I recently got the federation reinforcements box from my local game store, and I have almost finished painting it's contents (I will post pictures) whilst the federation fleet box I got is still mostly painted, but not finished. The reason for this is that a couple of the my ships from the fleet such as a CA and BCH have kept falling apart, especially the engines, and in general I found most of the "old" ships to be nightmares to get to fit together properly, especially the enignes, and this has caused my enthusiasm with them to die a bit.
Where as the "New" ships are much easier to build, yes their design does lend itself to better fit anyway, but the join between the engines seems to be designed to be a lot easier to put together, and that if you get a situation where it has broken, it is easy to fix as well (unlike the Ca).
This, combined with the return to metal after resin proved disastrous in terms of quality makes mongoose impress me as it shows they don't stick their heads in the sands believing their perfect, but acknowledge problem/mistakes and then move to sort it out or/and learn from it, which is far, far more then can be said for another certain model company.
Keep up the good work, am thinking of ordering a couple of blisters and hoping to see what they're like.

Yes, the nubbins on the new Federation ship are incredibly useful, and good on Sandrine for putting them in.

All praise Sandrines nubbins. Nubbins on everything.

I would also agree that the service has been wonderful. Although I've almost had at least 1 issue with each fleet box, email replies and replacements always came quickly. I just wish their initial quality control was a bit better. I think it'd save everyone some time and money, but I'm still happy.
