Unfortunately the Mirror Universe is not part of the Star Trek material the Star Fleet Universe is allowed to use, so that might be toeing the line a bit. A few weeks back I posted a CGI picture of a DNG in Terran Empire colors, but it was edited out of my post (with a very polite PM from Jean informing me why).
Obviously you can still paint them in Terran Empire colors (and I in fact encourage it!) however, posting pictures of them (or linking to said pictures) on the ADB or Mongoose forums might be an issue (other places should be fine though).

I wouldn't think that would be the case on posting pics. Its one thing for mongoose to publish something that's not covered in their license its another for me to present an artistic representation free of charge. If this were true believe me GW would have found a way to shut down and sue every single person on cool-mini-or not for every space marine posted.

As long as nothing is posted that belongs to some other company (the Terran symbol on the one picture is what caused SVC to request it be taken down), then it is fine.
It doesn't matter if it is something that someone is presenting for free -- if it is part of Paramount's IP that we are not allowed to use, then by contract we cannot have it.
We cannot allow fan art to "get around" the limits of the contract we have, even if that is not the intent.
Color schemes should be fine. We cannot do a "Mirror Universe." We have referenced a "Reflection Universe" but never developed it. I would be fascinated to see what someone thought those ships should look like.

What is the difference between the Mirror Universe and the Reflection Universe? I was always under the assumption that the Mirror universe that everyone keeps talking about is the awesome place featured in TOS: Mirror, Mirror. Is that incorrect?
If that is the same place everyone is flipping out about what is wrong with the empire icon on the turbo-lift door being used? I mean so long as it's the western hemisphere of Earth then it should be covered by ADB right?

For whatever reason it seems ADB did not get the rights to (IMO the best bit) aspects of the Star Trek universe including the alternative reality depicted in Mirror Mirror. Consequently they can't use or alloow others to do so on areas they have any influence over..(*)
I dont think they got the Squire of Gothos either.

No Squire of Gothos. No Mirror Universe. Believe me, Marketing wishes we had done so, but he contract was for what we had already used and for what we created. Since our license was through Franz Joseph, that is where we had focused. So a lot of TAS is off-limits as well.
Maybe you could create your own insignia for the Reflection Universe? You never know what could be adopted.

Maybe you could use the colours used in the fan-made movie "Of gods & men". I painted a Fed CA that way and added an Orion Pirate symbol and it ended up looking quite good
