Technology Marches On: "Vat-Grown" Food

There have been a number of scifi storied written in the past where meat is artificially grown rather than harvested from animals. Even GURPS: Traveller incorporates this. And now a research team is trying very hard to make it come true.

The team has already shown it can be done. I think the key is they want to have it ready for sale commercially in that 5 years timeline. So we could buy it in the market or be eating it in the spaghetti sauce we ordered in the restaurant.
