Techno mage ships and Ranger Frigates

There does seem to be a problem, about new ships being in stock in the UK especially in the last 2/3 months.
:?
I wonder whats causing the problem?

For example: the last ACTA new ships to arrive in DancingDryad were the PakMaRa fleet boxes.
Still no Z'takk, Vorlon transport, Shakara etc....

I ordered the Technomage Pinace(s) and an EA Delphi on March 26th. Just as I'd forgotten that I ordered them, they arrived at my shipping address near Milwaukee, WI, USA.

They all came jumbled together in a small ziplock bag, with no significant packaging. Everything seemed in good condition, but I did not sit down to examine them yet, since I am out of paint at the moment.

Hope this helps SQ.

Today I got my Technomage ships and Delta-V2s from my MGP dealer " Nimmy´s Horrorladen" here in Germany :-). Last week I bought 2 Shakaras and 1 Nolo'Tar Frigate at a Con :D

I heard a disturbing rumour that the casting factory run out of metal. Now, I would hope that a casting factory would have better stock control, but, well, who knows.

why not use Resin for the minis??

more expensive. Metals can be poured into molds while with any kind of plastics (as far as I know) need to be injected. Last I remember (its been a while) including equipment and all, plastics cost something like 30x initial start price, but have a significantly longer usability life. Basically, MP don't want to spend a fortune on something people aren't going to buy a zillion of.

i've a load of flash i took off my Dilgar and ISA minis - maybe I should sell it back so's people can get their ships

I got enough flash off four Aviokis and two Tashkat Advanced Cruisers to actually cast a third cruiser, and that is no exaggeration.

Seems like such a waste to me.

I know that this game is not 100% faithful to scale, but that Nolo'tar frigate has got to be the worst case of "model too big" I've seen so far!! It must look like the Nolo'tar battleship on the table.

What's funny is they're shrinking the Olympic while the Nolo'tar was already an in house model. So are they going to recommission all the over sized ones Mongoose has made too? Most of the over sized stuff is War or Armageddon, that's a little forgivable if also hard on the pocket book. The Nolo'tar is just silly.

The Centurion is worse...

My favourate is the dargan. Don't get me wrong, I do like the model (I have 4), but it is quite big for a hull 28 ship. Whereas the sulust is hull 35, and looks wee next to a dargan.
