Taking Care of Business....

Mongoose
Hello,

I was wondering if anyone knows some good guidlines or even a book that has pretty good info on running a business (taverns, shops, etc) in a fantasy / D 20 world... We have had some ideas but was wondering if anything really good is out there to use... I thought Mongoose might have had a supplement but didn't have any luck in finding it if there is one.

Thanks

I don't know of a specific book but the Thursday gaming crew once ran a theatre in 7th Sea for a while...we just invented it all ourselves. the problem is that D&D doesn't have a working economy which kind of restricts things.

Come to think of it the 7th Sea campaign would have made a great one for Tales From Mongoose Hall.

Might there be something in the Ultmiate Games Designers Companion that Mongoose did. I can't dig my copy out to check, but someone else must have one.

WotC's Players Handbook II has rules for running a business.

Gary Gygax has a series of books out on how to create worlds, populate them, etc. They are on my (extensive) 'to buy'list and so I have only had a chance to flick through World Builder...but they look very useful and have had good reviews.
