Sword Worlds - difference between editions

1e has more career paths than 2. It includes specific skills based on the home world chosen. It mentions groups like Loki. It includes cramped barracks for half spaced lodging on ships. It has a Sword Worlder bonus on aging due to the vitamins and limited anagathics in their diet: + or - End bonus to aging roll.
2e has more details about the world/systems and a missile system for SW ships. And better maps, I think.
I got, and use both.

Spice.

Or in this case, lutefisk.

One major divergence is that the 2nd ed. doesn't place so much importance on the Aesirist religion. It's still there, but much farther in the background.

1st edition had some pretty bad errors. It kept referring to the Border Worlds despite being set in 1105, before the BW was set up.

It also used GURPS rather than CT star port codes (V instead of A etc)

Mostly. I don't recall jarring inconsistencies or important retcons, but they place more focus on different events. One has more details on some things where the other glosses over-and vice versa, it seemed.
