So some would thus favour a game where they only have to buy one book, and not have to buy a D&D rulebook as well.
EG, all of my group owns a Conan rulebook, most of them do not any D&D stuff.
Plus for players who don't want to fork out for a hardback, the Pocket Conan book is perfect

If done in the format of the Pocket Handbooks, but with say 1/3 of the pages, I think that would work well. I would guess the reason we don't see a pocket handbook for every game on day one is that they would draw sales away from the larger hardback, so it makes commercial sense to release them a year or two later so everyone goes and buys them as well rather than instead


Alternatively, maybe the non-licensed OGL books would be better in future released straight into the smaller Pocket format?
