we will just have to see old boy is there a mass of bab5 players untapped or will the hordes of fresh recruits being drilled at the tower of the sun win the day :D

I've said it before tooty and I'll say it again "Faith Manages!"

Also I'll change the creed of the Anla'shok.

"We live for the one! We die for the one! We vote for B5!"

Conan far and away crushes the competition. What am I talking about, there’s no competition?

The official ruling is that there was competion, then Conan crushed the competion, and now there is no competition. :D

Those are a tough bunch of choices. I have to choose babylon 5.

It's a tough problem with the OGL that everyone pretty much needs to go out and buy the new book to be able to play. That can be a hard sell when everyone already has the PHB. It's a lot easier to get them into a d20 campaign where they can build characters from their PHBs.

What the OGL games need is a cheaper player's book, cut right down, just for making characters. That way only the DM and hard core players really need to buy the main book. That might not sell as many books but it would make it easier to switch over. D&D has a starter set which is cheaper to get people in from other systems.

I have B5, Conan, Slaine, Lone Wolf and Paranoia sitting on my shelf and I've tried to get campaigns going. I think my group might go for Judge Dredd one day....

You can't build a character for the B5 RPG with just the PHB. None of the B5 classes are in there. And only hhumans are in there for races.

And of course, not everyone comes from playing D&D, so not everyone owns a PHB.

So some would thus favour a game where they only have to buy one book, and not have to buy a D&D rulebook as well.

EG, all of my group owns a Conan rulebook, most of them do not any D&D stuff.
