Chaosium has all their old Stormbringer stuff on sale. What's worth getting if I'm not really interested in Elric?

Some of the old adventures like Rogue mistress would be worthwhile. Both the Bronze Grimore and the guidebook to Pan Tang were enjoyable.

-Perils Of The Young Kingdoms contains five adventures, most of them enjoyable.

-Rogue Mistress is a nice campaign, as it been said before.

-Sailing of the Seas of Fate. Everything on the Oceans of the Young Kingdoms (Ships, weather, travel, sea combat, sea monsters...). The book can be quite useful, given the imporance of sea travel in Elric's world. Contains an adventure on a haunted Menibonean battlebarge.

-Slaves of Fate is a well playable D20 adventure for Dragonlords of Melniboné. There's a conversion for Stormbringer 5 available on Chaosium's site.

-Sorcerers of Pan Tang is problably the best of the lot. Half sourcebook, half adventures, the book focuses on the archvillains of the Young Kingdoms. Even if most the rules (especially sorcery) are now obsolete, the background part and the adventures make the book worth of it. I had a great time torturing my players the Pan Tangian way while running the adventures...

-Unknown East. Less useful than the out of print Atlas of The YK, the book contains nonetheless nice information for players and GMs interested by the Eastern Kingdoms.

Chaosium's Site also has a couple of freely downloadable Stormbringer adventures. Don't miss them.

Its a great book, but the sailing times between ports is incomplete with a LOT of major YK cities being left off. I've corrected this for the Elric Companion (and added ship rules, too). 'The Curse of the Whisperer' is a fine scenario that I ran not that long ago. Good fun.

But highly useful if you're interested in the Unknown East and playing an eastern character, such as Moonglum or Rackhir. Again, a lot of the UE material is finding its way into the Elric Companion.

The Melnibone Sourcebook is very nice- most enjoyable - lots of fun background and plot possibilities and some intersting adventures.

Pan Tang is also very good as is the Purple towns source book. The Slaves of Fate is well written and useful scenario.

If any of you can get your hands on issues 95-98 of White Dwarf, they contain a mini campaign for the GW Edition of Stormbringer as well as rules which could be fairly readily converted for Airships of Law.
The mini campaign was called "The Madcap Laughs" and pulls the characters, their allies and their oponents into the unfathomable schemes of Balo the Jester. It is really quite good fun and worth trying to pick up the old issues on e-bay for.

my advice:

get every Stormbringer book from chaosium and as much copies from Melniboné as possible!

Slaves of Fate is bad, forget it!

Rouge Mistress works well with hawkmoon characters and Pan tang and Purple Towns combined together is a cool campaign for parties who cant play every session in the same constallation.

get the Corum book from Darscyde! There are many inspirations for Chaos based scenarios.

take a look on http.//www.tradetalk.de

search for "Ye Book of Tentacles" YBOT. there are some cool Elric (and one hawkmoon) scenarios inside written by one "unknown" Author...

Pittel,
What was it that you thought was so bad about Slaves to Fate (Apart from being D20)? I ran it for my group using the Chaosium downloads and we had a real blast. The only minor problem I had was that there were an awful lot of Npc's with their own agenda's and that was a bit of a headache. Otherwise, I have to say that it ticked all the right boxes for me.

Just been on e-bay and all the issues 95-98 of White Dwarf are currently on there if anyone is interested in the Stormbringer mini campaign that I mentioned earlier in this thread.

I agree. Slaves of Fate is an excellent adventure. The only problem is that it's d20. But the official Stormbringer conversions solve that.

By the way I think that Stormbringer downloads have disappeared from Chaosium's website. But the Slaves of Fate conversions are still dowloadable from here:
