Stats for minor human variant races

Cosmic Mongoose
It's me! Back again with another "how/where do I find this to import into mongoose!"

I realise there are a lot of variant human species, many of which are part of the imperium. I am curious as to where I may find the stats on these species?

For example, I have a player who loves playing dwarves. Space traveler dwarves would be awesome! Was there such a variant race? Or are they own non-human species? Whhere they ever statted in previous versions or even in mongoose products? Thanks!

The Dragon had porting Dwarves over to Traveller, CT, a long time ago. But unless Signs and Portents did it, Darrians and Luriani are the only minor humans I know of ported to Mongoose.

For Dwarves specifically, you have the old Dragon article already mentioned, or you have the Geonee. Native to Massilia Sector near the Imperial core, the Geonee are one of the oldest spacefaring races known in the OTU. They attained spaceflight about the same time the Vilani did, using recovered Ancients technology that included Jump drives (which is why they are not classified as a Major Race; they didn't develop Jump from scratch). In the four thousand years before the Vilani went to war to create the First Imperium, the Vilani, Geonee, and Suerrat roamed and explored and ultimately competed for the resources of what is now the central Third Imperium. Beaten back to a core of a dozen worlds or so during the Vilani rise to empire, the Geonee have not been the same since. They do get a bit farther afield now, of course, but do not settle in significant numbers outside of their old worlds.

The Geonee have only been statted for GURPS Traveller, where they are given a +2 STR and +1 DEX. Because of the differences (GURPS is a 3d6 system), I would normally be tempted to scale those down to +1 STR and no DEX adjustment, but the differences in task systems and Mongoose's definitions for alien races suggest keeping the +2 STR, if not the Dex adjustment. They are more tolerant of high gravity as well, but torso injuries become serious more easily due to the changes that make them gravity resistant. I'm not sure I would penalize END, particularly, just slow the recovery of lost END. They are odiously patriarchal (women are property), very proud, and think they are the Ancients, despite what everyone else thinks.

You can do a direct d20 SRD to Traveller conversion using Flynn's Guide to Alien Creation, a Traveller Compatible book. It has SRD special abilities converted for use in Traveller.
