What ever happened to the new property (see quote below) mentioned in Signs & Portents # 74? I don't see anything in the State of the Mongoose about this.

"Mongoose has just signed a major new property, with a major film studio. This will see the development of new games for next year. The specific property, and what we intend to do with it, will all be revealed in the State of the Mongoose so, once again, stay tuned!"

I'd like to know more about what's going on with Conan. When I first heard that Conan was switching to the Runequest system I thought "Wow they get it". Runequest is obviously a better system for capturing the feel of REH's Conan than D20/OGL.

The intercompatability with Runequest and BRP/Call of Cthulhu is an obvious boon to gamers and fits what REH/HPL wrote. Hyboria is the same world as CAS Hyperboria, and REH & HPL Cthulhu mythos just in different eras.

Then I find out the bad news....... I don't get it, they have sold the Conan license to horrible TV series and other products but with gamers they are dealing with fans. Fans who buy the novels as well as playing the RPG.

I really hope Mongoose can retain the license.

The new property could very well be Avatar, the new movie by James Cameron. From what I've seen I would like to play in it; its also up mongoose's alley benig similar to starship troopers which they already did.

I see no mention of the grail this time around. Is the grail dead Matt, will it ever return?

My only concern with Conan going to RQ is that is directly impacts Slaine IMO. And on that note if/when a RQ II Slaine sourcebook is created will we see more support for the line?
