I have felt the fleet is all about Pentacons and the Ochlaviata Kai is a great support vessel for pentacons giving the +1 CC for checks. I also take a few Jashakar scouts to lower stealth/scout as you have very few twin-linked weapons and virtually 0 beam weapons.
The carrier is great for its priority level and the fleet carrier special rule makes for a very deadly fighter swarm that dilgar can employ.
You will notice the slow assault ships and the fast strike ships. The slow assault ships are best for any planetary assault scenario and your opponent better pray you dont roll that up but while you have the damage of ships higher than your priority level, your not as fast and an agile fleet will fly circles against you. Fast fleet while not being able to turn on a dime, are very fast for their priority level your weakness comes in a slightly lower hull score and damage but the offensive power is greater.
You could do an all fast fleet, a heavy assault fleet, or a hybrid fleet with the strike ships as flank ships.

I myself have painted half of my dilgar fleet, and still waiting for my opponents to get there fleets from mongoose =(

My local gaming group has started playing ACTA with the release of 2nd Ed, so we aren’t the most experienced. The 5 point Raid Dilgar fleet that I have had good success with consists of:
2 x Jashakar Vi scouts
2 x Jashakar Tae torpedo ships
1 x Kahtrik So cruiser
1 x Garasoch carrier
1 x Wahant
Leadman

...that´s the "slow" fleet...I have 4 targrats in my fleet, 3 jashakars etc. no kahtrik, wahants or rohriks
Yeah, with Dilgar, it's usually a good idea to either go "fast" or "slow" but not mix them together too much. This means ships like the Ochlavita, Targrath, Omelos and Tikrit go well together. Also the Rohric, Kahtrik and Wahant go well together.
The Garasoch Carrier and all of the Patrol PL and War PL ships would work with either fleet.
