Starting IA Fleet Question

Would it be possible to build a fleet of 'canon' Alliance starships that have appeared in the series? i.e. - Victories, White Stars, Nials, Starfuries & Blue Stars?

Yep - thats is pretty much the ISA fleet save a few Minbari ships - depends on the priority level of game you are playing but shoud, not be a problem.

White stars and Blue Stars can make a good combination and the Victory is a very powerful ship.

The new version of the whitestar gunship is now worth having, however obviously didn't appear in the series.

Why are you after just ships that appeared in the series, out of curiosity?

just curiosity, really. I would like to build a fleet out of ships for the hell of it and THEN start to intergrate other White Star hybrids and Minbari vessels.

Oh, can't we, please.........

Actually looks like quite a good little skirmish ship, just a shame it's unique!

It is? I thought it were a new ship class for the ISA? So, there is no need to buy more than one then, right?

You'll probably find that without the rest of the ISA ships you'll be facing something of an uphill struggle, but doesn't stop it being fun.

but unless it has changed he can still take Allied shipping too right? so a reasonable selection there to pad out any fleet!

Yep

Still one FAP of allies, just that a lot of the 'cheese' selections are unavailable, and in some cases unecessary! No need for allied scouts any more.
But a few Vree, Brakiri or Drazi would give that 'Army of light' feel and you could even throw in an Omega if it is a battle level game.

(and there is just something so right about Whitestars and Starfuries flanking an Omega!)

And on another note Babylonrebel, whereabouts do you play?

most the isa fleets ive seen r made up of whitestars and victories,(the white star carrier makes an apearence but very rarely)
so sure you could make a fleet of ships only in the series

Its quick and easy to pick up especially if you are playing fleets liek Narn and Centauri - few special rules and lots of Dakka (well on teh Centauri side! :) )

Good time to start as 2nd Ed si just arriving - Have Fun!

I've only really just got into ACTA, have read the beginners guide (must get 2e) but haven't played before.

I only Asked as I am quite near you, I wondered if there was a club or somesuch..

2e Well worth it!

Got my fleetbook Friday and am very impressed

Just a couple of quick questions:

Did the list of available Allied FAP's change from 1e?

What about the Init rating?

Do the ISA (or is it IA, now) get the +1 Crew Quality, still?

Thanks, guys!

oh right, I know there's a games club but I think it's just Warhammer/Warhammer 40k.
