Ok, got me here - am definitely a Pre-Heresy mind, which means definite secularity. Despite what might seem am only human ;)

After the first 20 or so 16 part figures you do it on auto pilot?
Thats not really my definition of an easy kit, if less than 5 parts of them had been under 5 mm in size I might agree with you though... Bare in mind I only put together 16 as well, so I never even got to ascend to your robot like levels of precision :D

If you guys enjoyed putting that much time into those figures and think they're no harder than anyone else's starter box releases thats fine.
I just don't think they're that great if you compare them to anyone else's starter box offerings put at the moment (Which I thought was the entire point of this thread...), liked the models, just wouldn't bother putting together anymore than the 16 in the box if I could help it.
Feel free to keep up the suggestions that if I didn't love putting the MI together I must be some hobby lamer though :D

... Goldwyrm, you're attractive worshipers are in the post :D

Oh, that explains a lot - You should've heard my comments after assembling my very first box :D
Don't worry though, assembling minis is easier than it looks, all You need is little more practice :D

As for the starter box contents - haven't seen the LotR one, but both WFB and W40k ones allow to play merely training skirmishes, and only with certain squads of huge universe. And while SST starter seems to be directed mostly to MI it does allow great freedom of choice for this particular army basing only on the minis and shuttle/missile proxies inside. When playing Arachnids though it is better to get the Invasion Force, which offers almost as much options.

Thanks for the help i got my box about 1 but it kinda sucks cause my uncle died today so i only made one figure.

My grandmother died like 3 days ago so I know how ya feel and it sucks.

I feel for ya dude.

Agree with you there Makoto, PAMI are one of the most cost effective guys I've ever seen in a wargame! :D
Which is nice when you've gotta be able to field a bug army, those litte blighters can get expensive lol.

That 40k box sets a bit naff I'll admit (Although theres that cool plastic wrecked space ship... .gotta see if I can steal that of someone...), but the new warhammer box set is amazing. Its so cheap, battlefield bits sell units of 20 goblins split from the box for like $5 :D
Even accepting that they're single piece multi pose models, and the detailing is a bit smooth, and the new troll is rubbish, and some o the dwarfs are laughable its the best deal in wargaming today... Which is kinda harsh cause I have no use for anything in that box set :D

Unless You happen to play something else than dwarfs or greenskins (SMurfs and tyranids for w40k) and don't exactly have anybody to sell those minis to - my main grip about the GW starters.
