Started to paint my Brakiri.........

.......... at last.

Had them for quite a while now but with the release of 2nd ed, I decided to celebrate by actually painting some ships.

So, today I have painted 2 Avioki Heavy Cruisers and a couple of bases of fighters just to test the colour scheme.

I wanted to do a non stock colour scheme, but didn't want to stray away from the green. So I decided on a scheme of green that fades into dark green then pretty much black.

I'm actually happy with the end result, so have now moved on to a Tashkat, which has the main blending done so far.

Any who, heres a couple pics, I hpe you like them.

As Court jester said, maybe you should pick out the "G" and the stripes on the bottom fin a little bit - apart from that, that blending really looks good!

hmmmm, never noticed there were stripes on the bottom fin.

I'll pick them out and see how it looks. Just prey it looks good as don;t fancy trying to blend it back in when the base is dry.

Thanks for your kind comments.

Curses! The brakiri have been calling to me as my next fleet for a long time, but I have resisted. I think you may have just pitched me over the edge. My demo credit hates you. :D

Very nice painting, but aren't those bases just a wee bit small? I foresee lots of toppled Aviokis with guns broken off...

Possibly, but their the one's they come with. I am thing about mounting them on to larger ones as they do topple over every now and again.
