Star Trek: CTA newbie rules questions.

Did not see these in the rules, FAQ or errata, sorry if they are, still learning the game

Dust cloud only has an effect if a ship is in it. I.e. firing thru has no effect?
Does cloaking movement override a ship with superior turning specs (agile, turn mode 3, moves 6" while cloaked means one 45 degree turn or two 90 degree turns? Or something else?)
Or is this for ships with turn modes > than the distance moved? So a cloaked vessel can at last make 1 turn?

Does the 3d rule (object not blocking LOS) apply to large scale (planets) objects? If they do, how do seeking weapons interact if a planet is in the way?

Prob have more this is all I recall off of the top of my head.

hello :)

You can only fire into or out of a dust cloud, like all terrain it blocks line of sight so you can't fire through it.

Moving whilst cloaked does not effect movement except for maximum distance of 6".

so a agile ship with 3" tunr rating could move 6" and make 2 90 degree turns.
Conversely a Condor can't make a turn whilst cloaked unless it does not move or when it declaoks - reposiiton within 6" and turn upto 45 degrees

Planets block line of sight .

Another question: " centerlining?" is it possible to "line up" your ship and get both PS/SH weapons to bear on a target directly in front?

Yep. move the ship as normal, line up on to the target and just say you are centre lining.

Unless you are in some sort of ultra competitive game most people should be happy with that.

Asking because last game I was told that was not a legal maneuver. Is this in the rules faq/errata somewhere?

yea some people take things a bit far, miniatures are a bit in exact so if you say youre intent is to center line after making youre turn as long as the turn dont exceed turn limit then you should be good.

Hi Rerednaw! Yes, its on Page 7 of the rulebook under eligible targes "...target lies on the border of two arcs, then may attack with weapons from both arcs..."

Also, we have tokens to indicated which ship is centerlined on which enemy ship (for bigger games you sometimes forget...or least us old people do  )

Hope this helps!

Cool beans.

Bad, bad, bad playtester!! (That's who told me it was illegal last game.)

He was playing Feds CA and I was trying to line up weapons on my D7's.
