I'm not sure I'm doing the sniper rifle correctly. the bonus you get, if its a size 1 thing would you do 2 damage (1+1), a size two model doing 3 damage and so on?

no, you add the size score to your roll. So if you're shooting at a size 2 warrior bug, and you roll a natural four, then you actually get 4+2=6.

Important to remember that the accurate trait no longer works against structures though

Due to their size, sniper rifles used to be incredibly effective vs. Bug holes - but that was fixed in an S&P official update.
