I have a quick question. If a Trooper uses a Nuke like a Atomic Pee-Wee which can be Launched 60", I would assume the Direct and Artillery rules apply.

What about if you placed the Atomic Pee-Wee to blow something up? Do the Direct and Artillery rules apply with the LZ (5")?

It says 1 READY action to place the bomb and 1 READY action to activate. Is that all you need to set a NUKE off?
 
One Ready to place and one Ready to activate is indeed all you'd need to do (although I'd recommend a bit of running in between :) ). Placed nuclear weapons create an LZ as normal, the only difference being that it doesn't scatter.

Thanks. I see that now, so a squad would move into place and then take a Ready Action to place the nuke, move out of the LZ and then take another Ready action at any time later to detinate.

That Is exactly what I created for a scenario and will be running. Just wanted to get the Placing of Nukes down correctly. Here's the teaser for it.

Operation: Hole Punch
Locate and destroy a hidden bug hole, which SICON sources believe to be the source of constant raids on a nearby outpost. Your platoon will be entrusted with a couple "NUKES" to make sure the job gets done right.
