For all its failings, you really have to love the whole Star Trek series.

It's all Scotty's fault.

I mean, who can argue with a 23rd century where women no longer have breasts...but udders?

Just my two centimes.

Gotta go...sudden, over-powering urge for a milkshake!

Regards.
Thats so wrong dude LMAO!

LT: just glad I can insure that you'll never be able to view an episode of Star Trek in quite the same way ever again!

The only thing missing was seeing Benny Hill chasing Kirk around the set at fast forward speed.

Seeing that ad again makes me realise how old I am! That was back in the days of the big privatisations of Thatcher's reign

Oh! I REALLY feel sorry for you and your "old age!" NOT!!!!!

When I last lived in England there was BBC-1, BBC-2, and ITV. Regular broadcasting started at c. 4pm. Any earlier and you were liable to get a test pattern with a little girl, or some Welsh jibberish...or some documentary about Phillipino kids playing bamboo (I can STILL remember that song, God help me!). "Dad's Army," "Steptoe and Son," "Monty Python," and the "Marty Feldman Comedy Machine" were all in first run. Also, "Six Wives of Henry VIII," and the "Foresyte Saga." <- my parents loved it...I only liked Soames. "Top of the Pops" was on the radio, and some chick singing a song called "Tema Harbor" won the Eurovision Song Contest.

Now, you guys have been polluted by the likes of "rap," Hollywood, and all the other crap that comes from our media machine.

Grrrrr!

Yeah I remember those days. So you didn't even have C4? So that was before 82 then.
Things were like that until the arrival of Sky in the early 90s.

Then 24 hour tv arrived though ITV has gone backwards and has no tv (only god awful phone in rip offs) in the wee hours

Actually come to think of it ITV has really gone downhill in recent years. I cannot recall the last time I watched it. The massive losses they made on Football League rights (ie lower than the Premier League, so no one cares!) has resulted in their tv schedule being full of docusoaps and clip shows
