though once I have read the PDF I buy the hardcopy - so a delay on the PDF means a delay on me buying the hardcopy.

I've been holding on buying Mongoose Traveller until I check out the SRD.

Also if someone would make a version of the Mongoose Traveller SRD like the Deluxe Mongoose Runequest SRD PDF that'd be most appreciated, esp. if the Mongoose Traveller SRD is released by Mongoose in RTF like Runequest's SRD was.

I like it too, even though I have the official RQ and RQ Companion PDFs - the main reason is that the free Deluxe SRD PDF has bookmarks making it much easier to navigate than the official PDFs

In fact if I am only referencing rules and am not bothered about noting a page reference that will match up with my physical books then I use the Deluxe SRD PDF, ironic really.

I like Traveller, too, so it's very possible that I'll make a pdf-version of the srd.

While it's not the SRD, Mongoose Traveller Book 0 covers quite a bit in only 32 pages. No idea if the SRD will have similar content but I'm enjoying reading Book 0 and am planning on using it. Should also bide the time until the SRD comes out. :twisted:

Absolutely. I picked up Book 0 this morning (Free RPG Day, you know) and was impressed with how useful it is.

It can easily be used for demos and getting new players' feet wet..which is the whole point to it.
