Spring Cleaning with Babylon 5

Whoever is driving up the price of teh NARN I have Lots of money and will make sure that you have to PAY THROUGH THE NOSE for them. I would recommend stop bidding now.

I can only imagine... ;-)

My bet is the Neroon will top £200 at the very least. Maybe more. I've been on eBay since almost the day they opened and I know what last minute bidders are capable of. Hope you're ready for that.

Not sure about the Narn, but who knows. The Brivoki though could be a show stealer if the right bidder sees it.

Cheers, Gary

I am amazed at how people are driving up the bids instead of waiting until closer to the auctions end.

Amateur eBayers... ;-)

Wish I could see all their faces when the snipers kick in at the last moment...

Since i would have wanted the Neroon for my girlfriend i guess i will just make a ship bigger than the Sharlin. And try to stay as true to the original design as im able to ^^.
Is it legal to make somthing like that for private use?

I don't know about Mongoose' license, but GW encourages scratch built versions for personal use. As long as you don't cast it with parts made from stuff Mongoose made then I think you're probably all right. Otherwise it would be a violation of Mongoose's and/or Warner Brothers' IP and they could come down on you. Now for a Neroon I don't see a problem as if you didn't get one of the original few then casting from your own sculpts is perfectly legal. Not sure the Neroon idea ever came from WB anyway (it wasn't in the shows) so that may be only Mongoose's IP and if they allowed scratch builts in the past then I don't see how they could start prohibiting them now. JMO though and realistically I think you're probably okay. Just don't sell them as a Neroon since the name itself is actually part of Mongoose's IP.

If Mongoose are selling off their display miniatures, this seems to imply a fair bit more than a hiatus - no photos for battle reports or articles for a start...

They don't appear to be the display models. All the Drahk have already been replaced with a new colour scheme and everything else seems to be older models or the dead Amrageddon ships.

When more auctions go online this might be cleared up... :P

Thanks for the info

Jester probably isnt too far off the mark with that, Besides the "one of a kind" items they will be selling off most of their minis. Might as well wait and see what else comes out. Glad I didn't go nuts with credit card on the 20% sell off

Man they are getting up to Forgeworld price range now

YEah, I just spent demop credit to round out my ISA fleet (Hoe to get the order confirmed tomorrow)

THe one off models are going through the roof, I might just save my money for later blocks of stuff, though that Big-A$$ T'bolt would have been great, Ah well.

I can't seem to find the Neroon anymore... but this is amazing. The Prototype G'Vrahn, in my opinion, looks better than the new one. Good stuff going!

nononono :D

I'm saying that they are will not be selling off all the models, only the spares and one of a kinds... so far everything we have seen on eBay is not part of the current range of available models apart from the Drakh, and the Mongoose studio already has a second Drakh fleet so the eBay ones are essentially spare.

When the next lot of auctions go up and they include current studio fleet models we can cry about lack of piccies ans upport for the game... :P

We're not - the studio fleets are going no where.

Honestly, I was sorting a few things out in the office the other day, and saw the Neroon and 15mm TBolt in a cabinet. They had been sat there for at least a couple of months (the TBolt much longer), and I started thinking about gamers out there who would actually get some value out of them.

As for doing it via eBay, well, it seemed like a bit of fun - which is why we did not use Buy It Now, and won't entertain early offers. It isn't really about the money, but giving some people the chance to get their hands on a few things that are a bit special (well, unless the G'Vrahn goes for a truly astronomical amount - it might guilt us into throwing a few extra bits and pieces in for the winner!).

And will there be an option to combine postage for winners of multiple bids?

If someone wins a lot of items, of course (I have a habit of criminally underestimating postage on eBay. . .).
