Just bought the new Mongoose design "low"light: Spinward Encounters.

Incredible bad layout - again. I hoped you learned from the Crowded Hours disaster. But no: A workbook for "don't do this in your layout" - I fear not a single possible layout error is missing. Guess which numbers are normally on the RIGHT side of a double page, yes, the odd ones. Not here. Let's change the font of the page numbers in the book, oh yes, and let's cut the lower part of the numbers on some pages. AND - though we have a design for third imperium books, let's ignore this completely. *facepalm* Aren't there any graphic artist trainees in your area? Every single one can make a better layout, no matter his experience.

I cannot speak to what you're seeing, as the nearest FLGS doesn't keep Mongoose Traveller on the shelves (near LRAFB) however, from the sounds of things Mssr Trantor, I would suspect you are applying for an editor/ layout job yourself. Perhaps you should let Mssr Sprange & associates here know of your qualifications? Send your resume?

Perhaps you should let Mssr Sprange & associates here know of your qualifications? Send your resume?

Nope, I'm happy in what I am doing and have enough/too much to do, already. But I am sure there are enough willing to help - you really do not need a high profile to make a good job here.

@hdan - I presume that the content is good, it usually is in Traveller books. No criticism here from me.

edit: concerning your footnote: "You talk the talk, can you walk the walk?" - Yes, I do.
