Is this still scheduled for a 2012 release date? Secondly, will it be available in pdf as well as dead tree version?

Being worked on right now (we have had four writers drop out of this project!) and it is nearly done. We are _hoping_ we can have it ready for Gen Con but, either way, it won't be too long after that.
