Spell casting battle example

I was wondering if anyone knows where to find an example of how magic works in MRQII (like the great example of Edric's trollkin fight on page 97 in the Core Rules)

I think that if such an online resource existed, I'd know about it and would have done so, so I assume that no matter how many page reads (which does not translate into unique visitors) will conjure one into existence. When I'm running a game, I usually am too busy to note down enough detail to write it up as a full example. I did so when I was an official play tester for Hero Wars, but that was all coveed by an NDA.
 
Only one problem exists with how RQ uses magic in battle: nobody really knows how to use magic in battle anyway.

How do you approach it? Painting runes on your body in woad before entering the battlefield? Wearing a rune-inscribed pendant to grant you access to your Gods to grant you victory, or an infusion of spirit essence in your weapons to make their strikes telling blows?

I only know that magicians don't tend to do well if they start trying to cast spells in the thick of a battle, since anyone standing still long enough to cast anything will prove such a tempting target to the enemies, particularly the enemy archers, who'd feel an obligation to put one between the eyes of yon chap in the circle, waving his arms and chanting, before he can complete his incantation and bring down that sky full of flaming blood on their heads like the last time ...
