Spacecraft Dogfighting Modifiers

On page 162 of the core rule book, there is a table listing modifiers for dogfighting. Are the modifiers Additive or not?

For example, according to the table, if I have a 300dT starship it would get a DM-5 to dogfighting rolls. It's over 50dT, so -1, over 100dT is -2, and an additional -2 for each 100dT over 100.

Or is it supposed to be 50–99 is -1, 100–199 is -2, 200+ is -1, and an additional -1 for each full 100? If that's the case, then my 300dT starship would be only DM-4.

The other modifiers in the same table are clearly cumulative, so I have to assume they are all cumulative.

That's what I thought, but the fact that the 100dT is -2 makes me think that the 50+ isn't additive. Or else it would be -1 for each criteria met.

Is the jump from 50dT to 100dT that much of a difference?

I have not run the modifiers for ≥50 dT and ≥100 dT as cumulative, but when I checked the rules, I could not motivate it.
