SOTA Chapter 3 The Hunt

In this chapter there is a reference to Starhunter being detected depending on the level of alert in the system. Medium and High Alert are mentioned but there is no mention of the effect these different states have on detection or interception. Have I missed it?

Hmm. Comparing my manuscript to the PDF shows that the detection subsystem got simplified during editing (although they still kept the modified detection DMS for each world...)

Below the Arrival table in step 2 (page 4 of SOTA3), I had:
DMs
Starport Class A: +1 TL7 or less: -2 Naval Base: +2
Starport Class B: +0 TL8-10: -1 Scout Base: +1
Starport Class C: -1 TL11-12: +0 Strategic Gas Giant: +2
Starport Class D: -2 TL13-14: +1 Low Population: -2
Starport Class E: -3 TL15: +2 High Population: +2
No Starport: -4

Note that the DMs for worlds likely to be visited by the characters are precalculated in the table on page XX.

gah, misread the question. The missing text should be between the first and second paragraphs in the second column of page 4.
