Some bug holes and other SST figures...

Hey all,

This is my first post here. I recently got into SST because my buddy finally saw the movie again and thought it would be fun to throw some dice around over some bugs and MI. Honestly though I have been looking for an excuse to buy this game since it came out.

Anyway, I painted a few bugs, check out my gallery here:

Arachnid Gallery

I also painted a couple of light MI, check out the gallery here:

MI Gallery

I also built some bug holes because I wanted something more than the paper cut outs, check them out here:

SST Terrain Gallery

Finally, I put together a quick article on how to make the above bug holes, check that out here:

Shoot a nuke down a bug hole, you got a lotta' dead bugs! - bug hole construction aticle

thanks
n.

PS: I am totally not all that happy about this game moving over to prepainted... but what can you do I guess :)

plz if there is any way you can give me a paining guid and list of paints ill need to paint lami and arachnids ill apretiate it cause i love what you did! :D

WOW, those are some great shots of some nicely painted figures, both bugs and MI.

But those bug holes are AMAZING. Love the single foot coming out, so good!

Another Wow! The Arachnid Warriors and LAMI trooper look great. I like the walking tanker leg positioning and those tunnel entrances are really clever! Thanks for sharing.

neldoreth, you have inspired me to finally use all the windows install disks that I have laying around...

I have some extra solaris disks I could put to use while I am at it....

:D

ok I know this isn't quite SST related, but where did you get the Gundam Minis and rules? I ask cause I have a friend who loves gondam, and wants to try a minis game, but none of the ones I do Interest him, and I think that it would be the game to get him started.

it be awsome if you make one with a tanker head stiking out, or swarms of cliff mites coming out of it!

If you look at S&P #34 wargamer, you'd see a method to have a tanker head to do that with for free (as long as you had bought a King Tanker that is). :)

i must say that bug hole system is great, as it leaves the whole thing quite flat and thereby usable to the models who wish a cover save, I will have to make some of my own!
