Solomani Rim..?

Marchand

Mongoose
I always preferred the Solomani Rim to the Spinward Marches. Probably because I don't like psionics or Vargr in my game, which knocks out two of the big features of the Marches.

I was surprised to see a Darrians book scheduled for release before a Solomani book, but a moment's thought suggested that a Darrians book would be a helluva lot more use for a Marches campaign. And that quite possibly Mongoose intend to develop the Marches as their sole 3I campaign area. (Althouh that doesn't explain why Darrians came before Zhodani...)

Clearly that is plenty big enough, esp when combined with Trojan Reaches, Gvurrdon and Reft.

Just wondering if there are plans to develop other bits of the 3I under the Mongoose flag? Can we expect books on the Solomani and the Hivers?

If I did not completely misunderstand the various Planet Mongoose infor-
mations, Mongoose plans to complete the Spinward Marches first, and
then to move on to another part of the Third Imperium, which is "not ne-
cessarily" the Solomani Rim. So, I would not hold my breath ... :(

Maybe not Vargr, but K'Kree and Hivers. And psionics. That can be pretty much universal, a human condition. Especially if some Solomani supremacists decided to go down the psion road, and Imperial Intelligence had to develop psion agents to match them.

It'd be interesting to imagine Earthers' reactions to a lone Vargr or Zhodani wandering along Wilshire Boulevard in LA or taking holos of the Taj Mahal.

Mongoose said a while ago that they started with the marches and spread out organically from there, eventually covering all of known space. They also said that that plan was a problem for Kree, Hivers and Solomani, considering that that would take a while to get to them.

Considering that Mongoose has a 10 year license, I would say they would get to it before the end of their run.
