So when do we get the PDFs?

Imajica

Mongoose
Or, to put it another way, when do we get the PDFs?

It's either a PDF or I have to move house to somewhere with more bookshelves. Or I start eBaying old stuff. Stuff with sentimental value. So c'mon, save the memorabilia and release a PDF of this bad boy!

Aye, verily, all Ye Mongeeses, where be thy PDFs? Forsooth, tis past the month end, but yet to be seen are the hallowed files. Gadzooks, where be they??!! ;)

Dear ghod, the hivers are infiltrating the RenFaire.....

Now imagine a mop-wielding starfish speaking like that, and you under-
stand immediately why Hivers are a psychological health risk ... even
Cthulhu himself could not destroy more of one's sanity in such a short
time ...

Hopefully, there will be NO PDFs, since they ruin the Book market. I throughly endorse killing trees for quality product. Or at the least, make cost the same as the Printed Books. I never have understood why a company would undercut its own product. I promise to buy every book Printed; I also swear to never buy any book that is PDF'ed before it comes to my Friendly Local Game Store

I prefer to buy both. I want to be able to drop the book down in front of my group, but I also want to be able to load it on an ebook reader and/or laptop for on-the-go reading.

Ditto here. I find researching stuff (such as Teh Hivorz ;) ) easier using pdfs; I can have multiple "books"/pdfs open at the same time on the computer without occupying the entire floorspace of my lounge (as would happen doing the same thing with deadtrees). Equally though I enjoy sitting down to read a deadtree away from the computer screen.

I tend to buy both in the core product and PDF for later books. PDFs are more portable and can be backed up to prevent loss.

With water marking and copy protection, the company is less likely to have trouble with copyright infringement. It also costs FAR less for the publisher to produce a PDF document. Every 'book' in PDF form after the first is essentially free to produce so it's just the opposite of undercutting their product. It's a great way to maximize profit and write even more books.

I have purchased more books of all type since electronic forms of reading have caused price drops. I've effectively supported publishers at a much higher effective profit margin to them simply because I can afford to purchase and read more.

Baen books caught on to this idea long ago, even going so far as not putting DRM into their e-books. Trusting their customers seems to be paying off for them pretty well.

*BUMP*

Hardcopy is great and looks nice on my shelves but I NEED MY PDF!

Seriously, it makes all the difference being able to refer to a PDF at work in preparation for a game. I have PDF's of almost every game I actively play (and a few I don't).

No PDF's for me! Hard copies are the only thing that will survive when somebody pops a nuke in the area. By Gosh, I WILL have my games in the Post-Apocalypse!

And, lots of spare time to play them ! And, since I'll have a impenetrable rad shelter made from my minis, I'll have lots of time to paint, too !

Plus, I have it on good authority from one of my GM's that Hideous Mutant Mindless Rad-Zombies would make better players than most available nowadays......hmmmm. What do you think he was getting at, anyway ?
