I thought the movie was pretty good so the possibility of a decent rpg is there. And the Crimson Skies line was pretty good as well. So a merge of the 2 has definite possibilities.

There's a host of possible inspirations in anime, too - Laputa, Last Exile, Nausicaa - that's off the top off my head. There is no shortage of already-published ideas which could expand the life of the line well beyond the film itself. Of course, Mongoose's business model seems to prefer actual licenses, so Sky Captain would be a good one.

Yes indeed, it would be great if Mongoose could publish something in this genre, termed as "Tubepunk" or "Dieselpunk", even Alternate WWII. The product, preferably, could be a Traveller sourcebook.
