* Jammer trait: At moving fase the Shyarie declares the Jammer active or offline. The Shyarie gains Dodge 3+ with the active Jammer. If active the Shyarie can’t fire. When active all friendly ships that are in Jammer range (15in template) gain Dodge 4+. All enemy ships that enter the active Jammer range suffer POWER FLUCTUATIONS critical (need 4+ to fire), this will automatically be fix when the ship goes out of jammer range or if the Jammer goes offline. Jammer is verry delicate System if the ship suffers 3 or more critical hit, is cripple or skeleton the Jammer will go offline.

Sounds a little tough, maybe if it sustains a crit it goes offline (needs repaired before using again) . It's going to be pretty tough to hurt with shields & a dodge. The dodge rating is also a little high. Give 3+ stealth rating to everything within 6" (Squadron range) & 4+ to the ship itself.

Yes you are correct very tough Shields + interceptors + Jammer(dodge). Thought of giving it stealth instead of dodge but isn’t easier to get hits than with stealth?

With active jammer the interceptor are offline and shield can’t recharge, that would help?

Agree that a got carried away by range, I like the squadron range for the friendly’s but keep the 15in range for jamming the enemy. Don’t think the jammer should be able to get fixed once it’s damage and only one crit is to low.

Did you like the effects of the jammer on enemy ships?

I don't mind the ships functions, I expect folks will simply kill it at range, or at least render it incapable of operation.

I don't like the dodge aspect. Stealth is a better simulation of what your doing, and I'm no fan of stealth but think that is the way to go. Mechanics wise it allows you to have your fighters go in and shoot relying on the eyeball shots, target mines, etc. things the jammer shouldn't be able to materially affect.

Not sure about effecting enemy ships at all, maybe it could have two modes protective or neutralizing of enemy weapons systems.

something like the chineese CME Tank in Zero hour , either it give stealth 3+ to anyone in a radius of 6" , either it shoot an ennemy ship at 8" in the front angle and made the same effect than an ionic burst mine ( no SA .....)
 
The problem with the No SA thing is the Abbai already have that with their comm disruptors. Maybe instead of 3+ goes to 5+ if the enemy are within the 6" range.

I agree that it flavors more stealth but I based the jammer protection on the dust clouds rule, but it may work. Killing it at range is the main idea of jammer, protecting or taking the heat while the Bimith close the range.

What could be the effect of the jammer to fighters? With the change from dodge to stealth sending fighter to kill would be a good option.
