Should there be a Valen class as a regular ship?

It was THE Valen, not the Valen class. There was no class designation given, for none of the three ranger ships we see (Valen, Liandra and that green thing that was scrapped by the raiders

Does anyone know if Mongoose are allowed to make stuff from the new episodes - ie does their Licence cover it?
