Sho'Kos/Sho'Kov Question

I've always been of the opinion that the picture of the Sho'Kos/Sho'Kov in the fleet book are the wrong way round, and the two "barrels" at the front of the pictures in the fleet book actually represent the engines, not weapons.

I've been told by others that I'm wrong on this, but looking at the pictures of the Darkness Rising tourney, it looks like Greg has a couple of Sho'Ko(s|v) and they both have their "barrels" pointed towards his board edge at deployment - it's either that or they are bugging out on turn 1 anyway!

Thoughts/comments on this rather trivial matter? ;)

Regards,

Dave

IIRC Greg has always had the Barrels as engines - not sure how AOG had them?

I believe the same question arises with the Milani as I have them with the prongs at the rear (as in the book) but apparently it used to be the other way round?

I also like the spiky end of the Stak facing forwards... :)

I have to admit the when I painted my FA scale ones, I took the barrels to be weapons. I later realised it essentially followed standard Narn design, with big visible engines and an extended dual hull.

The Stak I assume follows the other Gaim ships and has a 'tail', but they are alien enough that they can be whichever way you want.

AoG's Milani pictures do seem to be points first, which is different from the way Mongoose pictures it.

Yup...

Milani is prongs forward... raised areas are the tail.

Kotha is T-shaped with the wide end forward.

Not sure on the little narns are the top of my head... will check...

There were a few back to front ships in the old catalog. I liked the 'swimming against the tide' Omega in the EA group photo.

The Sho'Kos/Kov has a set of little indents like submerged machine gun barrels on some aircraft on the two prongs, those are the gun barrels, the big ones at the back are indeed the engines.

Of course under AoG the ship didn't possess any weapon that would require barrels that big as the Burst Beam was an electromagnetic weapon designed to disable its target not a conventional massive beam weapon...
