I was watching another excellent "Dogfights" episode on the History Channel today re: Kamikaze attacks. Told quite a tale about the explots of the U.S.S. Laffy (DD 724) an Allen M Sumber class destroyer.
Are the Allen M Sumner class destroyers in the new supplement? What are their gun attack dice like?
The three dual-mount 5" guns seem so much more intimidating for some reason than the 5 single-mount 5" on a Fletcher. Is there going to be any game stat difference?
Also, watching (and later reading) about some of the exploits of the USS Laffy makes me think there should be some hard-core AA capability on this class of ship. Is that the case?

Incidentially, I now have Death of the Japanese Navy (Leyte Gulf - Taffy 3 engagement and subsequent sinking of the Yamato), Hunt for the Bismarck, and Kamikazis saved on my DVR. Need to find a way to burn them to DVD. They are excellent shows with amazing CGI work that really captures the excitement. If you get a chance to see them I highly recommend it. If you happen to be in Central Illinois, let me know and you can stop by and watch them on my home theater system!
