That's not a particularly good comparison. A Nimitz-class ship has most of the onboard space dedicated to its airgroup (which is its main armament). The four flights of T-Bolts are secondary to the other weapons systems on a Nemisis. Plus the Nemisis requires a lot of extra systems compared to the Nimitz, including a much larger powerplant (since I doubt the Nimitz reactors could power Earthforce's own weapons and engines in 2260+ let alone copies of Shadow guns) and systems similar to a nuclear sub required to actually keep the crew alive...
As Greg mentions the Omega class destroyer is around a mile long according to most sources, so Earthforce spaceships are obviously quite big!!!
Nick
You have experience of Earthforce weapons and engines in 2260+? Nice! Bet that looks good on your CV!!!Chernobyl said:speaking from experience, no it couldn't. :wink:captainsmirk said:(since I doubt the Nimitz reactors could power Earthforce's own weapons and engines in 2260+ let alone copies of Shadow guns)
