Ship Specifications

I am looking for the technical specifications of the Nemesis-class Destroyer. Specifically, armament, size, tonnage, and technical innovations...

Anyone know where to point me to get that information?

It's in the Starships of the Galaxy from the RPG, but the stats there are not nearly as detailed as you mentioned. At least the ship has an different armament then in ACTA

Thank you, Shadow Queen. That gives me a ballpark idea and confirms some of my guesses. My own estimates were based on the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier, largely because the Nemesis carries 4 flights of T-bolts.

Estimates
Mass: 150,000 tons.
Length: 480m, excluding front spires. Front gun probably adds 20m, bringing it to 500m...
Width: 60m, excluding side weapon racks. Likely 120m including winglets or side weapon racks.
Height: 80m, excluding bridge tower. Probably 85m with the tower.

That's not a particularly good comparison. A Nimitz-class ship has most of the onboard space dedicated to its airgroup (which is its main armament). The four flights of T-Bolts are secondary to the other weapons systems on a Nemisis. Plus the Nemisis requires a lot of extra systems compared to the Nimitz, including a much larger powerplant (since I doubt the Nimitz reactors could power Earthforce's own weapons and engines in 2260+ let alone copies of Shadow guns) and systems similar to a nuclear sub required to actually keep the crew alive...

As Greg mentions the Omega class destroyer is around a mile long according to most sources, so Earthforce spaceships are obviously quite big :D!!!

Somehow I'd missed the scale of the earthforce ships, they looked big in the series but not that big.

So are the ships of other races equally big, or are the earthforce trying to compensate for something by building such huge ships?

The others are similarly large.

There are a couple of sites that deal with ship sizes: http://www.meshweaver.com/Craft_Comparisons/Craft_Comparisons_1.htm

http://www.b5tech.com/index.htm

http://www.merzo.net/

(Take them all with a pinch of salt though)

You have experience of Earthforce weapons and engines in 2260+? Nice! Bet that looks good on your CV!!!
