I just put together a sharlin today. It is really awsome. 12 pieces wow. Little disappointed that the package I got had 2 left bottom fins, 2 left side fins, 2 right back fins. But I made do had to reshape the bottom fin a little.

I believe that is the starndard... My Shalin came like that and I bought it over a year ago. It makes very little difference in the long run as you cannot tell they are different by looking at one side of the mini.
I had the same problem with the 3 I got in my old Fleet box. I emailed Mongoose and they sent me the proper fins. They sent fins for both sides as a matter of fact. Now I have six left, or was it right, side fins I don't have much of a use for! As for the weapon pods I just made do. It's almost not even noticeable once they are mounted on the ship.
