Sharlin Construction

The Sharlin is hard to build.

EDIT - Do people tend to leave off the little array at the front of the Sharlin model? I was able to drill holes and get them cut and slide them in, but it wasn't easy. Most of the gallery entries I saw just didn't bother with them. Do they have a practical WYSIWYG use in the game?

Quit your whining and get it together! And don't stop till it is beautifully painted and the pic is in the gallery!

:P

To be honest, I had been under the impression that the Sharlins no longer had the little arrays on the front, based on all the images in the gallery I've seen :P

Nothing has a WYSIWYG use in the game. The probe array at the front of the Sharlin is, if memory serves, the nuetron laser battery. Might want to put that on there... :P

Go back to GW back to the shadow! You shall not pass! oops I fell of the bridge.

I never leave GW! I may go through fire... and water... before I smite White Star haters ruins upon the mountain top, but I never leave GW. =)

That said... yea... I drilled holes, and made it all fit, and then realized that some of it was for the back side of the ship... so I'm having to improvise some.

I work all weekend, so it may be Wednesday before its painted.

Lets be honest here!

Those sensor spines / weapon antenna or what ever they are on the front of the sharlin look nice if your going to have your ship sitting on a shelf, but for actual game play and carrying them around, they are useless!!

They get bent out of shape so easy that it makes the effort of putting them on and painting them just a complete waste of time!

Nope sorry that just my socks!! :D

But back to topic friend of mine has used brass wire to rep those spines and it not bad, it just gives it the impression that they are there!

But if you come up with something better let me know!!!

I use wire to replace most antenna and weapons. You can seat it deeper and its less likely to bend/break off than the bits that come with them

Well... its done. Unfortunatly I left my camera on again... and it doesn't put itself to sleep... so the batteries are dead and we're out of double A's. I'll have to pick some up in the AM.

I am very happy with it though... wasn't sure where to start, it wasn't easy, but it turned out ok.
