Drakh's took what they had but then again if you work and live on same planet you probably pick something up...

Lastly ISA are presuemably spreading Vorlon Tech about if they can? And certainly there are less "Shadow" class than "Whitestar" class ships.

But how much vorlon tech they have? Aparantly not enough to create more white stars(the adaptive armour creation capability missing) so what? Seems they have some concept on lightning cannon but not in how to make it feasible weapon without draining energy...Plus would they really want to spread THAT tech away freely...
 
They also do mention in the show that mixing Shadow and Vorlon Tech doesn't work as they kill eachother upon contact.
 
I thnk it is highly probable that Shadow Ships are still lying about on planets waiting for discovery (even mentions that in ACTA fluff) and if they can't make any new Whitestars where are all these new White star style ships coming from? Gunship, Carrier etc

I presume its cos ACTA is a version, or perhaps a evolution of B5 and thats fine as it stops it being restricted too much.................

re the Shadow Vorlon Tech not mixing - sort of makes sense but when was it said - not doubting but can't recall?

Still only part of the white star is Vorlon? - the speed and manuevability is Minbari? So get one, strip off the nasty vorlon skin and grow a nice dark shadow one , stick some Shadow Pods in it (or Drakh) and see what happens - Shadows like experimenting and mixing things don't they?

Who says Mongoose's inventions are exactly fluffwise correct?-) They modify stuff and above all: Try to sell MODELS.

Gunship, carrier etc came from desire to sell more models. a) they are new models to sell b) they round up ISA fleet thereby indirectly helping other ISA model sales...
 
I understand what you are saying - I happen to agree with Mongoose - otherwise the B5 universe is way to restictive in terms of making a game about war ships blowing each other up. :) And we are working within their version of the B5 universe otherwise I guess we would be playing B5 Wars?

still lets agree to disagree and leave it at that :D

Didn't seem to stop B5 wars expanding it...

There's difference between expanding it and expanding it with odd unfeasible ideas :D

Why MP had to go for white star this and white star that route ignoring previous background rather than expanding it...They didn't expand. They CHANGED it...Removed parts and added something back :cry: Net sum=0.

Uses the Shadow special rules

Made it hull 5, downgraded the dodge to +4, lowered the AD on the Molecular slicer beam as well as the Phasing Pulse Cannon and of course the damage is 75.
 
Getting very reasonable. I have to playtest, though -- my feel for Shadow fleets is just about nil.

Should this ship sport a short-range Jump Point Disruptor? I don't .... think so. Just asking.
 
Needs a speed reduction in my opinion...12" with the potential for 24" with Shadow SM?! This is a complete White-Star killer and can defend itself much, much better against fighters (currently shadows are very vulnerable to fighters) thanks to the dodge (even at 4+) Admittedly less punch than the old Shadow Hunter at Battle (and probably way more balanced than the old tourney version of the Shadow Hunter) but will need a lot of playtesting I think.

As a Shadow player I would find it a very tempting choice at most PLs...please Mongoose introduce it ;)
 
in the process of making a shadowstar with bits from the shadow scout and the old AOG shadow fighters. I feel in campaigns that a hunter at war is just too top heavy. The Speed 12 does make it for a very lethal ship and I am going to make it either speed 10 or speed 9.

Ha! That is very kind of you. But really, the conversions I've made are easy enough that anyone can make them. If however you still wanna buy, maybe we we work something out 8)

Oooh! I had always wanted to do something like that but can never get a hold of those AOG shadow fighters.
