Shadows physical disruption

Cosmic Mongoose
I am informed that when a normal ship is Adrift due to a 6 on the engines crit table, it can still be used as an initiative sink in the movement phase, even though it cannot move and even if you don't perform a special action (by choice or by crit). You can just point at the ship, say "activate this ship" and do nothing else.

Does the same apply to a Shadow vessel that has been pinned?

Uncertain, but I'd think not. The difference is that an Adrift (due to engine damage only) ship is still capable of taking actions but a pinned Shadow ship can't do anything.

An adrift ship with a No SA crit and no fighters is incapable of taking any action in the movement phase. But it still gets to be an initiative sink...

Id say yes as its still a ship on the table thats not destroyed or skeletoned so can take actions even it is to do nothing.

I would say yes - if you're going to have an initiative system that allows ships that are unable to move to 'be moved', then you may as well do a blanket application.
