Shadow shields

I have noticed that all the ships for the Shadows have two numbers for shields. Is it a typo on the scout with it being 5/5 when all other ships have the number halved after a round of firing. If it followed the other ships it would be 5/3 with 5 shields and a 3 of regeneration of the shields. Also, for physical disruption, can a shadow ship regenerate damage, shields or does the rules mean that the ship can do nothing for that turn and the next. Just wanted to clarify before we start a campaign.

The rules only say that the ship can't take any actions, but as self-repair and shield regeneration don't require any action on the ship's part to use I'd think that a pinned ship could still use them.

My way of thinking, which usually gets me into trouble, is that physical disruption is just that. Physically the ship could not do anything including regenerating damage or shields.

Possibly, although that would also mean that a ship that was jammed by telepaths couldn't regenerate either hull or shields as the effect has the same wording. I still think the regeneration is passive and isn't affected by either disruption or jamming. Might want to post on Rulesmasters if one of the playtesters doesn't give you a definitive answer.

we play it that they can regenerate and get back shields, these are inbuilt passive systems that just happen automatically.

basically a pinned/jammed ship cant take any actions, ie moving, shooting, special actions or launching fighters. Shield Regen, repairing crits and healing damage are automatic.
