Getting back to what I was saying about the shadow and vorlon fleets needing expansion.
The first hurdle is definitely crossed - that of justification from the series. All fleets have a number of ships that weren't seen in the series apart from the shadows and vorlons.
Next hurdle.
Ancients having lots of different ship types. 2 schools of thought.
1 - No, they have perfected their technology to the point where they don't need lots of varients.
2 - Yes, they have the technology to build whatever they like, so should have a decent range to choose from.
Think this hurdle is easily crossed too. Basically it's a matter of player taste, some will want more and some wont. However it is a lot easier for those who don't want more to ignore the additional designs that Mongoose might add than it is for those that do to create them, build the figures, design and balance the ships if Mongoose don't expand the list. So Mongoose can keep everyone happy by adding additonal ships to the fleets, maybe with a note to the side about them being 'supplimental'.
