Shadow Fighters - Movement Question

Hash

Mongoose
Much as I would like to start a movement to do something to make the Shadow Fighter a better patrol choice this isn't about that.

Shadow Ships have superb manoeuvrability (SM), i.e. they can choose to turn up to 90 degrees at the start of their movement and move twice their speed rating OR move their speed rating making as many turns as they like.

So...now that fighters are "ships" too - doesn't that mean technically they can do the same? i.e. their speed is 12 but they could "turn 90" and move up to 24?

They have the fighter trait listed on that 'special rules' part of the stat box, and it says shadow ships and scouts in the explanation of superb manouvrability. It doesn't mention fighters there, but does in the hyperspace mastery explanation. I'd say not, but arn't shadow fighters cool enough already?

(I think I better watch out for lightening bolts after that last statment  )

Yeah sorry Hash, the Suberb Manouverability says that it only applies to Scouts and Shadow Ships (capitalization implies this means the big ones, not all ships belonging to the Shadows!). Technically then, Stalkers can't do it either but since they're a Scout variant it is a bit of a grey area.
