Seeking cheat sheets

Anyone out there know where I can please find some good crib sheets/cheat sheets for personal melee and ranged combat, vehicle combat, and ship combat please?

I am not having much luck finding any.

Thanks in advance!

I think your best chance to find something of that kind
would probably be here, at least it is the only major col-
lection of MGT play aids I am aware of:

Ever since I bought my copy of MgT Core Rule Book, I've been making notes and collating them into what I call "Tell me abouts" they are brief descriptions to act as an aide memoire while running a game and sometimes as a suggestion about what to read up before running a game. I call them TMAs (short for Tell Me About). They're not definitive. And I haven't done TMAs for the Space chapters as I feel the easiest way to handle those chapters is read them equipped with a highlighter pen and a pencil.

I sent one of my TMAs to Matt Sprange on Friday but haven't heard back from him yet. Will keep you informed.

I'd appreciate that! I'm quite interested.

Ian, if Signs&Portents doesn't pick them up, your TMAs just might make for a good column in Freelance Traveller. Do please consider tossing them my way in that eventuality, especially since November is supposed to be the last Fifth Imperium unless Shannon decides to revisit it...

I signed up to join this group but am still waiting for approval by whoever runs it. I must say, it is taking quite some time.

As far as I know, GamerDude runs it. You could send him a PM,
but I am not sure whether this would speed up the process.

Thanks. I'll try that.

OK. Got a reply from Matt Sprange saying he's a bit busy at the moment and will get back to me when he has time.

The admin of the MGT_Aids Yahoo Group does approvals enmass a couple times a week, according to his own posts on the matter. I've seen him be a little faster when it was his own recommendation that led you there, but it'll happen unless you utterly failed to convince him that you are real and not some spambot.

Kind of a slow process, don't you think? We will be up and playing by the time my request gets looked at, lol. I'm still waiting. I've never had to wait this long to get into a Yahoo group.

I think I'll just continue working on my own sheets.

daddystabz, I've pulled some of the cheatsheets off the Yahoo group some time ago for my own use. I'll be happy to send you a copy of them if you want to kick me a private mail. I've both the small arms combat and the ship-to-ship combat cheatsheets.

"daddystabz",
I was pointed to this thread to see your posts/claim I was not approving you for the elist.

Just for the record and to be clear:
First, I've been coming to these forums once or twice a week and skimming them - but I always get a notice in my email of PMs I received and I jump on those immediately (in case they are someone following up on a MGT-Aids app). When I got yours on Nov 1 I read it, and took care of ALL the applications still pending. You never provided an email addy so I could never know if I had you or not - I just figured if you couldn't supply one so I knew who you were oh well you weren't really looking for help.

Second, since early June '11 I have been approving/disapproving people by replying to the "approval notice" Yahoo sends to my email. The longest any approval has taken (time/date on the notice to the time/date I reply) has been a maximum 30hrs, and as small as about 3hrs.

Now, I just was at the group web page checking to see if a yahoo handle matched/was close to your MG Forum handle - when I discovered three requests that yahoo did not send to me (one dated Oct 31, two dated Nov 1) that I had not received in my email (and were not there when I checked following up on your PM). I can say with absolute confidence the notices were not sent out as I have kept as an archive every Application notice email since December 2009.

If you were the one that applied on Oct 31st accept my apologies for the glitch, Yahoo! never sent the notice and it wasn't showing up on Nov 1st. Again I can't tell if you even applied without knowing what email addy you supposedly applied from.

I'd like to add a comment or two here about the group itself. If you have a problem with the list in *any* way you can PM me here on the forums and can always email "MGT-Aids-Owner@yahoogroups.com" (as listed on the group's front page). You do NOT need a yahoo! ID to join, just an email addy. ZYou need a yahoo ID to get messages in Daily Digest, or Web Only, etc. *but* anyone emailing me at MGT-Aids-Owner@yahoogroups.com (from the address they get the msgs at) I will gladly take the moment to change their settings.

So y'all enjoy, take all this for what it's worth, and catch you when we exit jump space.
