Second edition errata (and greetings Travellers!)

Mongoose
Hi,

Two part post here. First part is to say "hello" Travellers. I'm a very lapsed player of CT from the late 80s/early 90s, and I tried to get a game going with the boardgame group that my partner and I were in (before we moved halfway across the country) but alas that never took off. My interest in Traveller was rekindled recently after accidentally stumbling across a couple of Facebook groups and now here I am, with brand new copies of Mongoose Second Edition...

Which brings me to the second part of my post:
Is there a definitive errata for Second Edition anywhere? I've searched this forum and the net in general but not actually found anything that I'm convinced is an "official" errata.

I've noticed a few errors on the PDFs (Core books and Highguard) which I suspect have already been addressed somewhere but I need to either (A) check, or (B) submit the errors somewhere.

I did find this list of errata (https://docs.google.com/document/d/1KGXOR7pGnJBv-Qx_TvFbXrndZRHg9BDMNtljJrI-t58/edit# but I'm not certain that it's the "proper" one, partly since the page numbers in it don't match the page numbers in the PDFs I have (hardcopies are still in the post), and none of the errors I've found are referred to. (Plus, I've also found errors in the errata!)

Pointers to the location of the right document gratefully received!

Regards,
Alex

Welcome!

There is no official errata as far as I know. Several threads here have discussed potential errors.

The document you found was the result, made by a board member.

Hi, and thanks.

Is there a "ways to report errata" that I should know about so that the document owner then updates it? Or just annote the document directly on Google?

(I've got a couple of newbie questions too, which I'll pop on here later when I have a bit of time spare.)

No procedure, just fire away in the forum I guess.

I suppose you have to ask GarethL how he wants to handle the errata document:

I threw this together, mostly for my own use with answers from the forums, but help yourselves. If there's anything else anyone knows of I'd greatly appreciate it if you could point me in the right direction.

There isn't one, but you are welcome to mention errors on here. You can also post on here if you have a question about a rule, you never know you might even get an 'official' answer.

No. Just ask any questions you may have about the rules here.

If you look at the Traveller Wiki, you will notice that the various Errata's are starting to appear there. I am working on the CT Errata at the moment and will then move on to the other editions. Its not a quick process, but hopefully when done, it will be a place to find all of them in one place.

As an inveterate proofreader, I understand the potential size of the undertaking! I've started to create an annotated PDF of the MgT2 starter core books, using the google document references above (and some of the answer from my other thread of questions); I've found why the existing errata on Google doesn't match my page numbers - seems there are two different 'editions' of second edition!
