I'v compiled a list of corrections to the rulebook and fleet book, as well as Matt's answers to various questions.
Notes:
1. Much of the errata has been corrected in later print runs.
2. This is not an official FAQ/Errata. Many of the answers come from other players.
3. I haven't included questions that are already explicit and uneambiguous in the rules.
4. This isn't intended as a thread for more questions. If you have a question, it is more likely to be seen in it's own thread.
-----------------
Errata
Rule Book:
EA Fleet List: Olympus should not be included, Hyperion should. (corrected)
Sho’kar and Bin’tak counters labelled incorrectly. (corrected)
Rule book:
How do you board space stations?
Suggestion: use the rules from SfoS:
1: boarding party killed
2-5 inflict that much damage
6 select a trait, roll a d6 on a 4+ that trait is lost (except immobile or space station)*
*note, I really suggest numerical traits are halved, not lost.
Ambush
Can the defending player’s fighters move normally in the Ambush scenario? If so what do they roll to do so.
SCENARIO RULES: The Attacker automatically wins Initiative in the first turn. The Defending player may only act normally with his ships if they first pass a Crew Quality check (target number 10). If a ship fails this check, it must move 6" (or up to it's maximum speed if less than 6) in a straight line. The defending player's fighters may all act normally. (corrected in later rules)
Assassination
The Victory and Defeat conditions are missing.
Victory and Defeat: This scenario uses Victory Points in order to determine who wins. However, the attacker will earn +10 bonus Victory Points if he destroys his target ship. If the target ship is still on the table at the end of the game and not Stricken, the defender receives +10 bonus Victory Points. (from playtest rules)
Fleet book:
Gaim refits table, result 3 – they have no boresight weapons this result is useless.
Corrected: "3 Turbo Weapons: Choose one weapon system. It immediately gains the Double Damage trait but has its Attack Dice reduced by half (rounding up) +1." (corrected in later copies)
The ISD of the Falkosi says 2288+, should this be 2228? (as per SfoS).
The ISA Nial should have Hull 4.
Differences between the books: which is correct?
The FAP breakdown table is different. Fleet book is correct.
Method of splitting/combining is different. Rule book is correct.
See FAP FAQ.
Torotha: Molecular Disruptor have different AD
Troligan: which speed is correct?
G’Quan has different AD on energy mines
Sho’kos: different AD on burst beam
Fleet book is correct for ships.
----------------
Rulings:
2fers:
How many VPs do you score for a single 2-for-1 ship? Equivalent to a single patrol point each, or half a patrol point?
Each yield the VP for a patrol-level ship.
http://www.mongoosepublishing.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=29932
What happens if you put an admiral in a 2fer, does it become a single patrol point; or do you get two ships for a skirmish point, one of which has an admiral; or do you get two ships with two admirals for a skirmish point?
Consensus: ship costs a skirmish point, but a second 2fer is free (but yields VP).
Admirals:
Can you put an Admiral on a fighter?
Not answered
In a campaign, can you move an Admiral to a ship that is not your highest priority ship? http://www.mongoosepublishing.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=30426
Escort
Can a ship with Escort trait, give AF dice to fighters?
Yes.
http://www.mongoosepublishing.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=30598
Can a Centauri Guardian Array ship give interceptors to fighters?
Not answered
Lumbering
Can a ship with Lumbering benefit from the additional turn granted by a gravity well.
No.
http://www.mongoosepublishing.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=30366
Double/Treble/Quad Damage

Does it affect additional damage inflicted by criticals?
Yes.
http://www.mongoosepublishing.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=30635
Jump Points
Can you emerge from a hyperspace-realspace jump point on the turn it was created?
Yes. http://www.mongoosepublishing.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=30244
Adrift Critical
Can a ship that has suffered a ‘move as though it is adrift’ crit dodge?
No. http://www.mongoosepublishing.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=30301
Breaking Stealth
Do energy mines count as breaking stealth? Yes
Do fighters? Yes
http://www.mongoosepublishing.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=30135
Raiders Strike Carrier
Should it have the Jump Engine trait?
Not answered
Vree Supermaneuverabilty
Do they still get to use this while crippled? Or do they get 2 45 degree turns while using it after crippling?
Not answered, though the rules tend to point to the latter.
Drakh Huge Hangers
What happens if you lose this trait and there are still ships in the hangers?
Not answered
Shadows
When do Shadows repair criticals?
The turn after the critical was inflicted.
http://www.mongoosepublishing.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=30503
Can shadow fighters be jammed?
No.
http://www.mongoosepublishing.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=30471
Does Shadow’s Hyperspace Mastery allow them to jump into a battle and jump out of the same battle, or are they restricted to either in or out in the same way ships with the Jump Engine trait are restricted?
Gaim
If a Gaim ship is an ally (ISA, League, Raiders), does it have to be a Queen ship? If not, what happens to initiative and CQ?
Not answered
Refits - Turbo Weapons
Do you halve, round up the result, and add 1; reduce by half rounding up and adding one to the reduction; or reduce by half, rounding up the reduction and add one to the result? ie does 5 become 4, 1 or 3?
A: For Turbo Weapons, halve the Attack Dice, then round up, then add one. So, a weapon system with 7 AD initially, will be halved to 3.5, rounded up to 4, then have one added for a total of 5. (from the SFoS FAQ).

[edit]Further questions:
Psi Corps (and ISA & Raiders)
The Psi Corps list states that all ships in a Psi Corps fleet gain +1 crew quality. Does this apply to allied EA ships?
No. Just to the Psi Corps ships. The same applies to ISA's allies.
The Psi Corps refits and duties tables state that they are used by Psi Corps fleets. Do EA ships in the fleet use the lists from their own parent lists?
Yes. Similarly with the ISA's allies and Raiders' allies.
Admiral/Top Gun
If a Top Gun Admiral is stationed on a carrier and fighters are taken from it to make a wing that is then launched independently do they retain the bonus or do the fighters have to be launched during the scenario?
Not answered
[edit 30/9/07] A couple of further questions:
Psi Corps
There is conflicting opinion on the boards about whether requisitioned EA ships get the +1 CQ from the Best of the Best rule.
Do they
Can a Psi Corps fleet take between 0 and 2 FAP EA, or does it have to be exactly 2?
Lumbering
Can Lumbering ships be affected by Gravitic Shifters, or does the 'may never make more under any circumstances' apply to shifters?
Planetary Assault
When atmospheric ships fire at troops, does double damage apply?
