The Scouts book. Doubtless this will include more for character creation but what else?
“Characters will be able to scan planets and asteroids to gain a wealth of detail about their surroundings, survive in the harshest environments, and explore mysterious worlds in the furthest depths of space - literally going where no one has been before!”

Looks like more details on planetary systems is coming – hopefully an enhanced creation method like the old Book 6 but updated to match modern models and information – with gas giants in strange places and so on. This really should be as realistic and bullet proof as it can possibly be, it is a lot easier to add science fantasy than it is to take it away. This is almost something we need before Beltstike comes out.
 
It leaves the whole methodology of scouting and first contact, for one thing... and the structure of the Scouts organisation.

It leaves room for:

Survey procedures
First Contact protocols
Detailed Scout base example
Ships (not just the Type S)
Kit (survey, messaging, ciphers, lingusitics/translation).

So, quite a lot of Scouty goodness, I'd say. But I would, because I'm biased.

I certainly hope that the scouts book DOES include equipment.

Hopefully better thought out/researched than the gear in Mercenary.
