Scouts Book from Mongoose ?

This decade?

Actualy a list of everything planed for the next year or two would be nicce to see. Or does that cause to much argueing?

We've got a list of everything that is going to be produced in the next ten years.

But what would be the fun in that, eh? :)

More drooling for us to do, more pre-orders for you to get... :)

We have to save you from yourselves - there _would_ be people putting in ten years' worth of pre-orders!

Y'know, I don't doubt that statement in the slightest :o

Which is sorta scary ...

Scouts were always my favorite. I sometimes wonder if I choose my real life career path because it was somewhat Scout-like. (I'm a nautical cartographer for the National Ocean Service, Office of Coast Survey.)

Would the Scouts book include exploration gear (or exploration-relevant starship facilities) or just the traditional chargen and worldgen material?

I sure HOPE it has more than just World/System generation stuff. We can get that from any of the old editions.

I personally am hoping for expanded Scout careers, including civilian explorers, lots of nice ships and equipment.

AND detailed world/system generation - including how to create worlds that are part of the CORE of an empire and worlds that have never been settled by people.

The original UWP was for worlds in a relative frontier/newly settled area. The core sectors of the third Imperium should NOT be created using the basic UWP method, there should be slightly different rules for POP, GOV and LL, not to mention TL. I would like to see that type of stuff in a Scouts book.

What is the survival rate of you chaps like?

Well, the current plan is to have _no_ world generation material in Scout.
So, if I understand correctly, there would be no advanced worldgen rules produced by Mongoose? I think that good worldgen rules would sell quite well (and I'll definitely buy a book with such rules).

And, besides scout chargen expansions, what would the scouts book contain? Equipment and ships (I hope it will)? Exploration rules?

Yay! :D ...

... That means a separate expanded World/SystemGen book! Result!!

I hope so, and I also hope it's a very flexible and customizable one because the Traveller license doesn't allow third parties to publish such a thing. That means we're highly reliant on Mongoose doing a good and complete job themselves.
