scary and cranky

To torment Hiro even more, Fältjägare are not airborne, that's Falskärmsjägare

(No offense meant)

I dunno about Livgardet but, yeah, they might be made up of regulars. Thing is, Livgard means roughly Bodyguard, or Royal Guard in this case.

I think that the foregin fighting drops on the Skyttesluskar (swedish for grunts), so a Infantry squad would be Skyttegrupp (wich means rifle squad) rahter than Livgardet, but I don't know much about the Livgard and it might be that you're correct Hiro.

Anyone else than me who thinks we have drifted a little from the subject (an most interesting drift if I may say so myself though)?

Do I look like someone who can understand your twisted, sadistic language? ;)

Feel free to correct me on this.

kristovich is right about the infantynames as far as i know

oh, to help a little here, Fallskärmsjägare=Paratrooper
and i also think that they all count as regular army.

Well, you did see the source I was working on.....before I bothered even looking anything up I knew you guys made kicking automobiles and pretty decent aircraft.

Are you sure? We was told that when you "mönstrar" (conscription?) you have to score A to become a Fallskärmsjägare or Fältjägare, while a regular grunt was a B (maybe it was 5 for Jägare and 4 for grunt, I don't remember all to well)

Well, helmets don't speak as far as I'm aware

Anyhow, as far as I'm aware Fältjägare (for example) are counted as units of their own, yet they may be counted as regular army, I dunno.

they're part of the regular army, not part of the aviation or marine arm so to speak.
Still different training etc
