which is a shame

beep boop, please stand clear, this primus is reversing, beep boop...

I think LG posted it because somebody wrote in another threat that only the smaller weapons will become weaker.

Hopefully the 2nd Ed will ship off to Germany soon, the guys at my gaming club can't wait to get their hands on it :)

what publishing programme did they use for the battle report graphics map?
Could players have access to it to produce forum battle reports?

So the 2nd Ed rules come out end of August.. when do the new fleet boxes start replacing the old fleet boxes (which never seem in short supply) ?

Hm the new Vree box cost double ok two xills in it but less from al other exept the fighters 2 more wing. i think im better with the old box.

What i read from the review i´m skeptical if it really better. just to have wait until its in my hands.

Hmm....

"Advanced Anti-Fighter"?

Why do I get the feeling that trying to attack Vorlons with strike craft is about to become even more suicidal than it already was? :)

"Oh, and the Poseidon? War level, 95 points of Damage coupled to Hull 5 [Yay!!! Finally...], a total of 52 Attack Dice of weaponry [Hmm...not so bad for a carrier]– and 24 flights of Starfuries [What the *$%^!!!@*^$%?]"

I think we can now officially chalk the poseidon up as a 'viable' ship....

"Why a Leshath? Because it has a special rule that, when painting a Stealthed ship, it will automatically reduce that Stealth to 1+"

Ouch....

"The weapon of choice for Centauri is now the ion cannon. Typically 12” range, it also has the Double Damage and Twin-Linked trait."
Now that is a change.... Well, unless you're used to playing with Secundus/Maximus fleets :) (You're better off with a...)

we have enhanced the Victory’s lightning cannon once again. The language in its special rules has been tweaked so you really can do nothing after firing it. In return, you get 8 Attack Dice of Precise, Beamed Quad Damage

Heh.

We created a new trait especially for the Abbai (though we also ended up using it for the Shadows too), allowing them to lose their Interceptors and gain Shields. Shields work pretty much as you expect, soaking up Damage from incoming attacks, and regenerating every turn.

Oooh - damage dissapation is back for the shadows...

However, we have made a little addition to every Firehawk, Sunhawk and Warbird hull that will get Drazi players cheering. They now all have Dodge 5+.

Wooot! Woot I tell you! Woooot!!!

Stuteeka war carrier (another Raid level ship), carries 24

That, combined with masses of turreted energy mines? I think the gaim just won the fighter war....

combined Attack Dice are halved, but their weapons gain the Energy Mine trait instead.
Youch! Sorry - I just have to see a plasma web laid down by a squadron of Pshul'Shi convoy guardians in a battle report....

we brought them right up to the 80’s with the Z’Takk base star – sorry – command saucer.
That's quite alright. They look well cool.

The Strike Carrier came under the microscope first, being granted the Fleet Carrier trait.
Not my favourite solution, but they're your rules.

Both now have Shadow Fighter flights included for free.
Good.

All things considered.....this looks absolutely superb. I can't wait...

Locarno, unless advanced antifighter effects fighters shooting at the ship from more than 3 inches away, EA still have nothing to worry about, thanks to the Thunderbolt (and doubtless more ridiculously good versions of the starfury).

Just sit back and watch Vorlons dissolve under the weight of fighters chasing them from behind. They really can't do anything about it.

There are plenty of fighters with range greater than 2" - Rutarian, (now probably the nastiest fighter in the game), Thorun Torpedofighter and so on.

The Vorlon fighter defences may not be quite what they were (better in one way, worse in another) - but their fighters are a lot better at killing fighters.

I am probably one of the biggest skeptics there is, and I think 2nd ed looks really good (as long as a few bugs are fixed... so far I've reported 96 typos and 40 (IMO) balance issues ;) )

I just sent in 13 pages of Corrections, concers, and raves about 2nd Edition. Some changes are really good, some changes are a little too severe. We still have some notes on the League ships that we have not sent.

oh yes...i am too...

Assuming the background pages are accurate, it seems that the Corvan moved up from patrol to skirmish, and the Rothan moved from raid to skirmish as well and fell to hull 5 (no complaints on either of those changes). I can zoom in enough to see the blurry lettering.

When hearing that, I hope they knew what they did when they talked about balancing. So, why then is the Hyperion still raid leven even if it is only as good other races skirmish choices.? :?
